Continuing Education

NSH teleconferences (now available as webinars) are a great, inexpensive way to provide continuing education to a large number of employees. The cost for each session is the same regardless of the number of attendees. The one hour session is usually held the fourth Wednesday of the month, beginning at 1:00PM Eastern Standard Time. Occasionally, due to holidays, it may be the third Wednesday of the month.

ASCP Re.Member Program

ASCP claims to offer "unlimited CE" with some flavors of their Re.Member program. In reality, there are not a truly infinite number of courses, but it is sufficiently large that most reasonable people will never exhaust the library. It also gains new additions with some regularity. While Histology-specific topics are few, the big advantage is they also keep track of your progress for when renewal time comes around.

Sakura Webinar Series

Sakura offers webinars FREE of charge on various lab topics. Previous recordings are also available in their archives. Most recent recordings include a quiz and opportunity to earn continuing education credit.

Leica Webinar Series

Leica offers a variety of webinars, which can also be accessed in an archive. The focus is geared more towards pathology, but they are informative nonetheless.
